Locust Control
- Locust Control:-
State is regularly watching and monitoring the appearance of locust and also in touch with LWO (Locust Warning Organization) a central organization. The State has well established specialized post of Deputy Director Agriculture (Locust Control and Plant Protection) at State Headquarters.
During the month of February and March, 2020, groups of locust adults were spotted in Fazilka District of the State possibly by incurious from Pakistan border and effectively controlled without loss to any crop.
During end of March and April, 2020 hoppers of locust also entered in Fazilka district from Pakistan and controlled effectively without loss of any crop.
